Pantone Colour of the Year 2016

Pantone Colour of the Year 2016

Our look at Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2016

Welcome to 2016 – a new year can only mean one thing, a new ‘Colour of the Year’ from Pantone (the world-renowned leading authority on accurate colour communication). Introducing the Pantone selection for 2016 – a double whammy with Rose Quartz and Serenity taking centre stage.

For the first time, Pantone has selected two colours to sit side-by-side for 2016.  Influenced by the ever-growing trend for mindfulness, calm spirit and wellbeing, the colour options ‘psychologically fulfil our yearning for reassurance and security’ (Pantone.com) within the home. As rose quartz is traditionally considered to bring a soft feminine energy, we fully agree that it’s the ideal colour to encourage a peaceful and relaxing home for the year ahead. We’ve hunted high and low to round up our favourite ways of bringing Rose Quartz and Serenity into our interiors…
