Designjunction 2014: Leading Designer Furniture Show

Designjunction was established in 2011 to showcase ‘the very best in furniture, lighting and product design from around the world, presenting world-class brands against stunning industrial backdrops’. The now globally acclaimed show takes place during the London Design Festival and we are thrilled to be joining their carefully curated ‘powerful line-up of renowned international brands’ and ‘smaller cutting-edge labels’.

Taking place next week from 18-21 September a stone’s throw from Tottenham Court Road, designjunction serves as a popular alternative to the traditional trade show by offering an exciting blend of commercial and creative collections. Unlike some other furniture fairs, this leading design show is not only open to trade and press: members of the public are encouraged to attend and enjoy all that is on offer, from pop-up shops, large-scale installations and eateries, to ‘flash factories’, seminars and screenings.

If you are interested in seeing how products come to life, we recommend you visit the Flash Factories where you can see demonstrations from the likes of Waterford Crystal whose Master Cutter will show how their crystal cutting systems work (don’t expect to try your hand though – each Master Cutter trains for a minimum of eight years!). Plus you can watch reclaimed, bespoke and handmade tile specialists Bert & May hand making tiles using an original hydraulic press from rural Spain - the very same equipment that has been used in artisan tile making for over a century.

The seminars on offer feature a range of expert speakers from the world of design and are sure to provide interesting insight and interior ideas. Amongst many other fascinating talks, you can pick up tips on colour in contemporary interiors from Tricia Guild OBE, founder and creative director of the Designers Guild, and hear from iconic designers such as Alberto Alessi and Sir Kenneth Grange CBE who will be sharing their stories.

We will be offering 20% off the full retail price* of anything from our collection to retail visitors who drop by our stand and purchase at the show.  Plus, if you visit, you can get a sneak preview of our forthcoming 2015 outdoor furniture collection and see the following pieces that we will be presenting from our current designer furniture collection:
