We’ve long been fans of Hege’s interior style blog Hege in France, so it was a no-brainer when it came to looking for a contributor to show us how to style some of our design favourites. Born in Norway Hege has been living in the UK for over 20 years. Her style seamlessly combines trademark Scandinavian cool with British design influences, lifestyle concepts and cultural references.
Hege in her own words…
My interiors style in 3 words: Minimal, Nordic, monochrome
My favourite interiors purchase ever… A £5 black and white photo from a charity shop. Love it!
An easy, go-to styling trick... Less is more. Things often look better when you start taking items away.
If I could live anywhere, it would be…Portugal. I love the people and the beautiful light.
My design hero is…Cecilie Manz. I love her work. www.ceciliemanz.com The mixture of Scandinavian and Japanese design really appeals to me.
My dream buy…Gubi dining chairs, but I would be scared to use them..
My biggest styling no-no… Prints that have been mass produced. I don't like things that everybody else have too.
If money were no object I would buy… A really expensive washing machine.
